1. Directs and supervises, under directions of Director of Operations and Food Service Director, food program activities to meet YMCA objectives. Expands food program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.

3. Recruits, trains and schedules volunteers.
4. Identifies, develops, markets and distributes community food programs.
5. Purchases and secures donations of food and food packaging items.
6. Understands the food program budget. Works to build and foster a donor base for the food program.
7. Attends community events to explain the YMCA’s Food Program.
8. Assists in the marketing and distribution of the food program information.

Assistant Program Coordinator/Building Supervisor
- Adheres to all branch/department policies and procedures related to safety and code of conduct.
- Maintain current knowledge of emergency procedures for the facility and act responsibly in emergencies.
- Actively patrol all areas of the YMCA and record times and observations at designated checkpoints. Assist with programming assignments as needed.
- Responsible for assisting in programming to ensure member and program satisfaction.
- Ensures safety of staff, members or volunteers when entering or exiting the facility. May entail walking staff, member, or volunteers to their cars.
- Complete and be accountable for all accident/incident reports. Reports must be accurate, consistent and must be submitted to an appropriate supervisor. Communicate all accident and discipline situations (corrective counseling form). If severity of the accident/incident warrants immediate attention, contact via pagers or phone the appropriate professional staff member.
- Responsible for promoting and incorporating YMCA core values and character development in program area.
- Secure the entire facility before leaving at night, ensuring that appropriate lights, windows, and doors are closed. Adhere to the building hours and the closing after members have had appropriate time to exit the building.
- Always remain accessible through established communications systems during shifts.
- Adhere to established dress code, always wearing YMCA staff shirt and nametag. Always maintain a professional demeanor.

Membership Staff Vernon and Downtown
- Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
- Greet all guests as they enter the facility
- Gather and record member data into Core
- Provides information and assistance related to membership rates, programs, scholarships and other Y amenities.
- Prepares member records and handles registration / enrollment transactions.
- Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sells memberships.
- Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA
- Greet all guests as they enter the facility
- Facilitate member to member engagement.
- Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs Membership Coordinator of unusual situations or unresolved issues.

- Monitor the locker rooms and towel bins frequently (where applicable).
- Provide laundered towel service (where applicable) and fresh coffee to members.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk and lobby areas and ensures cleanliness of facility.

- Ensure Y is attractive and clean by completing all duties listed on the daily schedule and maintains upkeep of assigned area and equipment.
