Childcare Director

-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Childcare Office Coordinator

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Processes childcare applications and completes enrollment process.

2. Maintains children and staff files in Procare and filing cabinets for compliance. 

3. Organizes resources and deliverables to best meet intended goals and outcomes.

4. Assists with State and STARS inspections

5. Tracks all paperwork and activities required for State and STARS accreditation. 

6. Assumes general office duties, verify attendance, meal counts, & children’s participation. 

7. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors. 

Pay: $11 – $14 per hour

Human Resource Coordinator

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Processes new hire applications and completes orientation process. 

2. Maintains staff files in Checkwriters and filing cabinets for compliance. 

3. Uses checkwriters to communicate with staff and assist staff with checkwriters when needed. 

4. Assists with annual financial audit. 

5. Tracks paperwork and activities required for State (I-9 and child abuse prevention)

6. Processes payroll and other payroll responsibilities.

7. General office duties and other assigned by supervisors. 

Pay: $11 – $14 per hour

Summer Camp Counselor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervises a group of children
  • Plans and implements program activities that are culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with YMCA values.
  • Maintains DHS requirements
  • Maintains Keystone STARS requirements/standards.
  • Adheres to program standards including safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Attends staff meetings and trainings.
  • Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies. 
  • Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with parents, children and other staff. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Pay: Based on Experience

Assistant Gymnastics Coach

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist the head coach with instructing students in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.
  • Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities/exercises as directed by the head coach.
  • Assesses gymnast’s skills, monitors participants during competition and practice, and keeps the head coach informed of the athletic performance of students.
  • Assists with strategy to conduct successful gymnastics meet.
  • Know and review all emergency procedures and respond to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies, procedures, and the “safe-in-six” model; complete related reports as required.
  • Model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards students, officials, and spectators.
  • Assist the head coach with submitting a list of award winners at the end of the season for the annual awards banquet. Also, must assist the head coach at parent orientation and registration.
  • Perform support tasks such as distributing and maintaining eligibility forms, emergency data cards, and other related records.
  • Attending staff development meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.
  • Perform similar and related duties as assigned.

Pay: $9 – $11 Per Hour

Assistant Group Supervisor-Assistant Teacher

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Manages, directs and coordinates the early learning programs for assigned location(s). Ensures
high quality programs and establishes new program activities. Expands program within the
community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.

2. Provides staff leadership for annual fund raising campaign and committees as assigned.

3. Maintains proper records/department files.

4. Provide support, cooperation and leadership to ensure compliance with government grants and
private foundation grants.

Front Desk Staff

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone, contributing to member retention.

2. Greet and welcome all members and guests as they enter the facility.

2. Set up membership accounts and prepares member records and handles registration/ enrollment transactions.

3. Register members for programs/classes and answers any and all membership related questions.

4. Conduct interviews and/or tours responsive to the needs of prospective members; sells memberships. 

5. Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and the YMCA. Facilitate member to member engagement.

Internship

The Meadville YMCA is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Intern in Youth & Family Services. This internship will provide hands-on experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation for the benefit of children, families, and the community. Child Watch Aid

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging
in youth and relationships among youth and within families.
2. Supervises the children and all activities including ADA accommodations where appropriate. Follows all
procedures and standards.
3. Cultivates positive relationships, and maintains effective communication with parents. Engages
parents as volunteers and connects them to the YMCA.
4. Maintains program site and equipment.
5. Maintains required program records.
