At the YMCA we want our young athletes in our community to get both an early start in their athletic strength and conditioning development, and offer our facility and coaching for individuals who wish to maintain and improve on their peak performance during the off-season.

Training youth in their early athletic development can help them develop general qualities such as power, speed, coordination, etc, and build a solid muscular base as they learn exercise techniques and specialize in their chosen sport in college and beyond. 

Training sessions consist of drills followed by resistance training relative to their appropriate age group and development.

Resistance Training:

  • Exercise Demonstration and Technique Workshop
  • 6 week – Exercise Program: Upper Body and Lower Training Days
  • Free Weights, Dumbbells, Resistance bands, Specialty equipment, etc.
